The little table jigsaw that I used to extract the forms from the acrylic glass ate into the material with such greed that caution was not enough to tame it. Despite adequate practice, several things went wrong. The machine was most obedient when I stopped thinking about it, when I stopped thinking about the process of cutting and allowed my feelings of led by curve and counter-curve, proportion and rhythm to take over.
