Bass and me |
|
The summer of 1991 was hot.
My studio, high above town, was heating up to 40 C degrees.
“Undress” was the sensible course of action: first some, then more, ending up naked.
The fender e-bass hanging around my neck, I played, danced and grooved until my fingers were humming.
Tables with paper and pastels were lined up and waiting around the walls. |
After one to two sunshiny hours of the sounds of steel strings, I changed perspective while still in the grip of the evil tones, reaching for the colourful pastels, delivering these creations to the paper with oomph.
Day after day I followed this procedure. After three months I had created a stack of drawings.
I scanned 20 of these paintings into the computer in order to edit them for publishing in 2011. |
